TONSTARTSSBANDHT

I was first introduced to the sounds of Tonstartssbandht through various rumblings, mostly visual and in the form of words, eventually getting funneled to their sound via Rose Quartz (and reminded by RSTB) in a post with a couple great tracks from their record An When, "Midnite Cobras" and "Andy Summers." Edwin put the record out himself on his own label, DŒS ARE, and sent me a copy, which I have been rather interested in, especially in its ability to jump from mood to mood, from genre to genre (or maybe more importantly the absence of genre).

There's the blown out, malaise-haze fuzz-stomp of "Black Country" + "Midnite Cobras," the fantastic choral repetitions of "Little April Showers" + "Softly Kidding," the syrupy haze of "5FT7."

Check out these tracks then BUY your copy by emailing does.are@gmail.com.

Can't wait to hear more from Edwin + Andy (they've got an upcoming release called DICK NIGHTS), but in the meantime there's all these too:

Andy + Sean (+ others?) = NASA

Andy + Sean = Superbud

Andy = Black Dad
