Yeah I've mentioned The Meanest Boys before, as everyone else has, but Meanest Boy Will just sent me over a couple tracks which hardly vibe with the whole summer glitter and pop that heads have been on. This stuff's certainly looking ahead to the Fall: scuttling leaves, deep woods soul and some grey malaise only apparent when everything's dying. Both "Slow Hand" (not "Slow Hands") and "Smoke Signals" capture this dreary cycle perfectly: rotating, repeating and okay with it.
