DRAW A DOOR AND KNOCK TWICE

Neon Marshmallow Music Festival keeps on dropping pieces of their 2011 fundraiser cassette compilation into The Web, this time a magnificent piece of burbling synthesizer bliss from Outer Space, a.k.a. John Elliott from Emeralds. "Draw a Door and Knock Twice ('86 Mix Edit)" simmers for six and a half minutes with sputtering waves steadily increasing in density then receding without any real climax. It's the perfect soundtrack to watching the miniature tornadoes of airborne seeds flare up and die down outside my window, though the piece would be a suitable soundtrack for any number of natural world scenes depicting proliferating life. The festival itself is this coming weekend at the Empty Bottle in Chicago andhttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif Outer Space performs Saturday June 11 along with Pelhttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gift, Oneohtrix Point Never, Dylan Ettinger and many more. Check the track below then purchase the massive 80 minute cassette to help raise fest funds.
